Client History | Case Studies
We also work with a growing community of Affiliates, specialized Family Office investors, EPC firms, General Contractors, OEMs, and others that deliver impact services to our colleagues and clients.
At In3, we are innovative leaders expanding the path for businesses seeking multiple bottom line interests, seeing the financial world generate social and environmental good alongside profits. In3 Capital connects mission-driven companies and their senior managers with mission-aligned investors.
WHAT WE DO
We are a fully-integrated impact finance and advisory firm with in-house project funding capabilities, best-in-class development, de-risking and “alternative” investing expertise. We deliver advantageous project funding via an established US capital partner.
Now in our 26th year, In3 has delivered both venture and project funding for diverse industries (energy, food/ag, water, materials, housing) in the US, EU and emerging/frontier markets. We finance, help develop plans and financial models, review and evaluate, de-risk and structure transactions, and occasionally host engaging “impact innovation” events to connect people working with cleantech, impact capital and innovative, “circular economy” zero waste solutions. WHO WE ARE
Management Team InfoAffiliates & Advisory BoardIn3 is managed by an experienced team of “boutique” financial services practitioners who are helping to take the new, “circular” economy from the margins to the mainstream. We preferentially support Clean Energy and Impact Infrastructure developers and our investor partners to profit together.
In3 Affiliates are remote offices, trained in our innovative (we say “next gen”) funding program, based in key markets worldwide. Affiliates refer clients seeking funding (once the investment opportunity is qualified), assist with vetting and KYC, or help within their specializations. more
With In3’s development partners, we have designed/funded/built over 1.2 GW of clean power generation in the US, with current projects delivering renewables, real estate, housing, healthcare and waste-to-value globally.

In3 Strategic Advisory Services
In3 works to provide faster and easier access to impact capital as well as comprehensive services, from arranging carbon credits, ESG consulting, and financial modeling/de-risking to project co-development expertise within sectors we know, such as renewables, social and environmental impact ventures, and innovative “impact” projects in the US and emerging markets.
How do we work? We actually listen. We partner with you to achieve alignment with our underwriter’s requirements, review and develop stronger business plans, IFRS-compliant financial models, more targetted presentations, risk mitigation and due diligence preparation.
We pay careful attention to your stated requirements as well as the less obvious drivers of true success (subtle but important factors like aligned vision and value) to ensure the optimal capital solutions, ownership structures, and skillfully-executed fundraising strategies that pass the test of time.
How are we different? We can help take you where banks would typically not dare to invest (so-called “alternative” investments), with attractive loans, dedicated debt facilities, private family office equity investments, … and more promising and sustainable long-term results. “Faster, easier, better,” made manifest.

The In3 Flagship
In3Capital’s Next Gen Project Finance Program
Any reasonably well-defined, mid-market project can fit with our program’s conditions for accelerated financing at favorable terms. We define “fit” as any project, or portfolio(s) of projects, that satisfies 4 S’s: Size, Space, Stage and Surety, below. First draw in 30-45 days.
Four key differences described here or view our flagship funding program’s 1-page tear sheet (PDF)
In3 Completion Assurance Program (CAP funding) offers far fewer restrictions than traditional project funding — requires less painstaking due diligence preparation, with greater technical and operating risk tolerance and thus greater certainty of reaching closing, once pre-qualified. In3CAP is faster, easier, better.
SIZE
$25 million or more per project; for budgets less than $25 million, consider bundling a “pipeline” or portfolio of multiple, related projects under one finance facility. Can include pre-construction costs, if any. For venture capital and/or advisory visit here. About types of funding.
SPACE
Delivers positive impacts, ideally (or at least does no social or environmental harm) – more than 30 industries get preferential treatment. We work all over the world – see our recent projects and case studies for examples.
STAGE
We can work with you at any stage. Your project does not need to be “shovel-ready.” It is fine if additional pre-construction development work is needed or, altenatively, all you need is procurement, construction, and comissioning funds.
SURETY
Investment (equity and/or debt) can be expedited with a Completion Assurance guarantee – sovereign, private or bank – for financing up to 100% of the project’s budget, with financial closings in less than 30 days, first funds within 30-45 days.

PROJECT FINANCE CASE STUDY:
Agricultural Supply Chain
In3 Group arranged senior debt through the InterAmerican Investment Corp. (IIC), part of the InterAmerican Development Bank (IDB), for one of the largest producers of dried organic tropical fruits in North America. The arrangements were completed in just a few months and the company has since secured additional working capital from other, hardlined sources, as a result of meeting IIC’s stringent loan requirements, including environmental and social performance. The company has opened additional facilities and exceeded growth expectations in the years since. In3 provided the business plan, financial modeling, loan origination and due diligence support that delivered investment success.
PROJECT FINANCE CASE STUDY:
Capacity Building in Indonesia
Working with Asian Development Bank and private-sector partners, In3 founder Daniel Robin provided technical assistance for financing large-scale energy efficiency projects through capital / loan guarantees and insurance product innovation. Most local banks had been previously unwilling to consider energy efficiency retrofits as the upfront capital costs make projects appear untenable, despite substantial long-term savings spread over the life of the equipment. Daniel helped organize the enabling credit enhancements, insurance, and change management procedures as well as the training materials to make the transition.
Testimonials
Don’t take our word for it – here are some recommendations for In3 Capital and its managing partner Daniel Robin:
Rusty Brown
President & CEO at Fine Dried Foods International
We are delighted that our loan has been approved and we expect to see the ‘fruits of our labor’ in just a few weeks. This expansion will create up to 350 additional jobs in rural Mexico, helping us complete our packing plant.
It has been a pleasure working with you and your team, and it is clear in hindsight your preparation work and responsiveness was key to gaining lender interest and approval. After the preparation, the loan due diligence went quickly, and your assistance was timely and professional. In3’s loan origination, advisory and consulting services were greatly appreciated throughout.
I am happy to recommend In3’s services to others seeking long-term project financing. Thank you!
